Pitti Uomo 2017 – The Art of Following a Trend but Still Being Unique
It's no secret that Italians have a good eye for design. Whether they're making fashion, furniture, or food, they're always a cut above! Even when it comes to beards. But before we give you our trend spotting from the 92nd edition of Pitti Uomo, you might be wondering:
What is Pitti Uomo?
Pitti Uomo is the world's most important fashion fair for men's clothing and accessories, taking place annually in Florence in January and June. Here gathers a unique blend of people and exhibitors, both established and newcomers in the industry. It takes place in the Fortezza da Basso Conference Centre, a majestic fortress from the 1400 century. It may sound cliché, but we love the contrast between the old and the new!
Love is in the (facial) hair
With that said, the beard seemed to be the most trendy accessory during Pitti Uomo's June edition. On the other hand, it became clear that a well-trimmed beard is no longer enough to stand out. But some had managed to create a unique look thanks to their tattoos or the length and color of the beard (you'll see all variations in the pictures below.) You might even be inspired to try a new style?
So why does an exhibition company like us visit Pitti Uomo?
A big reason why we at Front Row Exhibitions love visiting the Italian fairs, is precisely because it makes us reflect on things like the above....And to eat world-class Margherita pizzas of course! Not only did Pitti Uomo make us think about the trends back home, we also asked ourselves: How can we help you, the customer, take your brand to the next level? Just like the men at Pitti Uomo need to do during every fair to attract attention.
What is the trend in your industry?
Being "fashionable" even in the trade fair industry may not be difficult, but being unique requires both self-esteem and self-confidence. What is the trend in your industry? Do you need a push in the right direction, or even a completely new direction? We'd love to brainstorm ideas with you!
